Key Features of the Mactronic Defender IR

IR Light for Night Operations

The Defender IR flashlight's infrared light is invaluable in operations requiring stealth, adequate illumination in darkness, and compatibility with night vision technologies. These features make the Defender IR essential equipment for military units, police forces, and special tactical operations.
  1.  Night Vision: The Defender IR light enhances images in night vision devices. It emits infrared light invisible to the human eye, which night vision devices can convert into a visible image. It allows operators to observe terrain and targets in complete darkness without revealing their position.
  2. Operational Stealth: The Defender IR light enables discreet night operations, as infrared light is invisible to the human eye and most standard optical systems. It is crucial for missions that require a covert approach and minimal risk of detection by the enemy.
  3. Compatibility with Tactical Technologies: The Defender IR flashlight with IR functionality can be used alongside other tactical devices, such as infrared cameras, which capture images in low-light conditions. It expands the operational and tactical capabilities of special teams.
  4. Coordinated Team Actions: IR light can be used for visual communication within tactical teams equipped with night vision devices. It allows for signaling positions, marking targets, and coordinating team movements without risking detection.
  5. Identification and Tracking: The flashlight's infrared light allows for the identification and tracking of objects and people in complete darkness, making it particularly useful during night patrols, search-and-rescue operations, and border monitoring.
  6. Intuitive Operation and User Confidence: The Defender IR allows users to switch modes by rotating the head, making it easy to recognize whether the flashlight is in white light or IR mode. Switching between Low and High modes via the rear tactical button allows quick and convenient brightness adjustment to meet the user's needs.

Impact resistance and IP Rating

The Defender IR flashlight is made from special aircraft-grade aluminum, ensuring its lightness and durability. It has an IPX7 waterproof rating, allowing it to operate entirely submerged at a depth of 1 meter for 30 minutes. It is also impact resistance to drops from a height of 1.2 meters, making it ideal for weapon-mounted use.

Versatile Lighting Modes

The flashlight offers four modes, including two for white light and two for IR (infrared) light. The IR light is perfect for enhancing night vision images, enabling operations without revealing the operator's position. This feature is precious during night operations and terrain observation.

Dual Source System (DSS)

The Defender IR can be powered by two CR123A batteries or an 18650 Li-Ion battery, providing flexibility and long-lasting performance. The Dual Source System (DSS) ensures that the operator always has access to a light source, regardless of power availability.

Defense and Evacuation Head

The head design prevents the flashlight from rolling accidentally, increasing the device's stability on uneven surfaces. The specially shaped head also allows for close combat in case of an attack. These features make the Defender IR flashlight indispensable in situations requiring quick response and practical self-defense tools.

Weapon-Mountable

The Defender IR is designed for weapon mounting, making it ideal for soldiers, police officers, and Airsoft/ASG enthusiasts. The mounting bracket available ensures excellent compatibility with firearms, enabling efficient and precise target illumination.

SAFETY GUIDELINES

Safety Guidelines for Lighting Products

Safe Product Usage

  1. Use the product only as intended and follow the user manual instructions.
  2. Adhere to the recommended handling and maintenance guidelines to ensure proper operation.
  3. This product is not designed for use by children. Keep small components (e.g., batteries, accessories) out of their reach to prevent accidental ingestion or choking.

Operating and Storage Conditions

  1. Operate the product within a temperature range of -4°F to 104°F (-20°C to +40°C).
  2. Avoid exposing the product to direct sunlight, moisture, strong vibrations, solvents, chemical fumes, or other aggressive substances.
  3. Please do not use the product in explosive atmospheres unless it has appropriate certifications, such as ATEX.
  4. Please exercise caution when charging and connecting the device to the electrical network.
  5. When installing the device in a vehicle, use insulated terminals and protect the installation with a fuse.
  6. Activate the product with a transport lock during storage or transport.

Safe Handling of the Product

  1. Do not cover the product while in operation, as this may cause overheating and increase the fire risk.
  2. If the product overheats, turn it off or reduce the brightness mode to allow it to cool down.
  3. Avoid wearing headbands, wrist straps, cords, or other product components around the neck.
  4. Do not use the product as a tool, except for flashlights designed with an emergency glass-breaking function.

LEDs

  1. Never look directly into the light beam. LEDs may emit radiation classified as RG-2 according to IEC 62471, which can be harmful to the eyes.
  2. Do not direct the light onto the face, skin, or other sensitive surfaces. LED radiation in the 400–780 nm range can damage the retina or cause irreversible changes.
  3. Strobe or flashing light modes may trigger seizures in individuals with photosensitive epilepsy.

Batteries and Accumulators
